Klanglicht
Light Installation
For the annual Klanglicht light festival in Graz, we created a collaborative light and sound installation around the theme “Strom.” Students from Interaction Design, Sound Design, and Media Design worked together to explore different ways to show energy through light, sound, and movement.
Our team translated ideas like energy in the body, flowing water, seasonal change, and data streams into an immersive experience that visitors could feel and connect with. The result was a mix of abstract visuals and sound, all coming together in one shared space.
I was the only Media Designer in the group, so I created all the visuals. I worked closely with two Interaction Design students and built visuals based on music composed by the Sound Designer to match the mood, rhythm, and story.
During the exhibition, I also filmed and edited the aftermovie, including short interviews with the team. It captured both the process and the final result.
This project was a great example of teamwork across different creative fields, and it gave me the chance to work on visual storytelling and production, which are two things I really enjoy.
